The Full Story
I was born in the coastal chaos of Chennai—North Chennai to be specific—to my lovely parents, Sudha and Prakash. Ours was a below-middle-class home, where the real currency was values, not comfort. My early education was average, but one belief stuck with me through everything: education is power.

I graduated with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Anna University in 2017 and joined Aptiv as a Design Engineer. There, I learned the ropes of product design in the automotive world. By 2019, I had already started planning for a master’s degree abroad—but life had a few detours in store.

In 2020, I joined Newell Brands as an Associate Engineer. It was a steep learning curve and a big step forward in my journey. Then came COVID. Like many, I faced personal and professional uncertainty but kept pushing. In 2022, I lost my mother but she is still survived by me, my father, and my younger brother. The grief hit hard, and I went through a deep personal low—but through that, my goal became even clearer: to pursue higher education and build a life with meaning and momentum.

So while working full-time, I quietly prepared for my master’s—juggling job responsibilities and GRE flashcards, CAD models, and SOP drafts. Eventually, that journey brought me to CU Boulder, for its strong mechanical engineering program and (equally important) its mountains.

I started with a design focus and have since expanded into FEA, CFD, robotics, and energy systems—areas that connect my curiosity with real-world impact.
Outside of academics and simulations, I’m a guy who loves food, people, wildlife, mountain air, and spontaneous travel. I believe in building things, and I also believe in being kind. I carry my mom’s strength, my dad’s resilience, and my own little dose of sarcasm everywhere I go.

Thanks for visiting. This portfolio is mostly functional—just like me.
